We're happy to report that various Chester County projects were included in the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development's (PADCED) latest round of awards for their Act 13 Programs and Multimodal Transportation Fund. Overall, Chester County received more than $4.5 million in PADCED funding!
The Act 13 Programs include projects under multiple areas:
West Chester Borough received $200,000 from the Flood Mitigation Program toward the West Chester Stormwater Infrastructure Repair.
Parkesburg Borough received $168,074 from the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program for their Minch Park ADA Playground and Park Improvements, East Vincent Township received $100,000 for Independence Park Improvements, and Action-Impact, Inc. received $70,209 for the Elverson Skatepark under the same program.
Lastly, Oxford Borough received $100,000 from the Watershed Restoration and Protection Program for their West Mt. Vernon Street Rain Garden Bump-Outs.
The total Act 13 funding for Chester County in 2025 included $638,283.
In terms of the Multimodal Transportation Fund, 12 projects in Chester County were awarded a total of $4,002,000 in 2025. Projects include:
- Caln Township: $450,000 for Lincoln Highway Safety Improvements
- City of Coatesville: $200,000 for NSEC Offsite Improvements
- East Coventry Township: $350,000 for the Ellis Woods Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project
- East Fallowfield Township: $300,000 for replacing the Mortonville Road Bridge
- Londonderry Township: $300,000 for Road Network Improvements
- New Garden Township: $300,000 for Church Road Pedestrian Crossing Improvements
- Parkesburg Borough: $450,000 for the First Avenue Repair
- PT Phoenixville, LLC: $375,000 for Traffic Improvements
- Schuylkill Township: $377,000 for the Pothouse Road and West Bridge Street/Charlestown Road Intersection Improvements Project
- Spring City Borough: $100,000 to for Main Street Crosswalks Safety Improvements and Enhancements
- Valley Square Development Associates, LP: $100,000 for Valley Township Transportation Improvements
- West Goshen Township: $700,000 for Montgomery Avenue Storm Sewer and Pedestrian Improvements
